Dear Abby,
My name is Macbeth and I am consulting you with a problem I am having in my
kingdom. It all started when I was approached by three witches. The witches greeted me by saying "Thane of Glamis, Thane of
Cawdor, and future king!" I was already Thane of Glamis so when they said that I was not suprised. However, when they said
"Thane of Cawdor and future king" I was somewhat confused. Later that day Ross, one of the noblemen of Scotland, came and
told me I had just become Thane of Cawdor before I actually did. I began to wonder if what they said about me becoming king
would really come true. I began wanting to become king so much that I started contimplating the act of murder. I am now at
the point that I will go crazy if I don't get rid of Duncan, who is currently king of Scotland. Any advice you could give
me on this situation would be of most help to me.
Sincerely,
Macbeth
